Early Summer at Fugan Canal Kansui Park: Leisurely Walks and Relaxation

Fugan Canal Kansui Park in Early Summer

If you’re planning to visit Fugan Canal Kansui Park in Toyama City, early summer is absolutely the perfect season. After Golden Week comes to an end, nature transitions beautifully into early summer. On clear days like this, the park atmosphere is truly refreshing and rejuvenating.

The weather was perfect that day—clear skies and warming temperatures. The park surrounds you with abundant greenery, and walking along the riverside promenade feels like a reset button for your mind. The buildings across the river and distant mountains create a picturesque backdrop. On sunny days like this, the blue sky really stands out beautifully in photographs.

Quality Time With My Furry Friend

The highlight of this visit was spending time with my beloved golden dog. Dressed in a bright pink vest, my companion stays cool with a special dog cooling jacket as the temperatures rise. Staying hydrated is crucial, so I brought along a pink water bowl to offer regular refreshment breaks during our stroll. We walked at a leisurely pace, enjoying the peaceful surroundings together.

Kansuiko Park is wonderfully dog-friendly. The wide promenade accommodates all types of visitors, and the crowd levels remain comfortable. My dog clearly enjoyed the experience, and we even had pleasant encounters with other animal lovers who stopped to say hello. These spontaneous interactions make the visit even more special.

Coffee Break at Starbucks

During our walk, we stopped at the Starbucks Coffee located within the park grounds. The view from this location is spectacular, and I’ve always appreciated the modern architecture of this building. Both my dog and I took a well-deserved break in the cool indoor space, sipping coffee while enjoying the surroundings. It’s a perfect spot to recharge during a longer outing.

Embracing Early Summer at Home

Despite the wonderful outdoor conditions, the daytime heat during early summer can become quite intense. As Golden Week ends and we transition into summer, I find myself spending more time indoors. Early morning walks or evening strolls during cooler hours become part of the routine. Taking things at our own comfortable pace is what matters most.

Toyama’s early summer truly is magnificent. Having beautiful spaces like Kansuiko Park nearby is something I’m genuinely grateful for. I hope you’ll consider visiting this wonderful destination during this lovely season.

Photography and audio are my hobbies. While landscape photography is my main focus, I have recently started taking many photos of my pets at home.
